    ASKMEN.COM TOP 99 BABIES ’06 :P

    RANK 31…

                          Maria Sharapova

If you are a beautiful 6’2” blonde goddess that can serve tennis balls at over 100 miles an hour, you’ll eventually get noticed — even if you are from Siberia. After attending one of those creepy Florida tennis factories that continually pumps out young players, Maria Sharapova turned pro in 2002, and climbed steadily in world rankings and onto the radar of every heterosexual male in the world. She finally broke through at Wimbledon in 2004.
Maria had a grand slam year in 2005, even if she didn’t win any Grand Slam events. On the court, she took home three WTA titles in exotic sounding places like Qatar and Tokyo, good for $2 million in prize money and a No. 4 world ranking. But her off-court success was the real story. Endorsements from companies like Canon and TAG Heuer earned her $18 million and made her the highest paid woman in sports. Seriously.
The back injury that hampered Sharapova for much of last season is gone, and she’s expected to be back in top form for the 2006 season. She’ll certainly be in the center court of popular culture, too. Expect to see her extremely photogenic face hawking everything from toothpaste to Hondas. And if she manages to sneak in a couple of more high-profile wins, she’ll probably be popping up even more. Which is a very good thing.

    RANK 91…
                          Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz was working as a model when she was asked to audition for The Mask, a film that transformed the 21-year-old Californian into an instant star. She has since forged an intriguing path with her career, balancing big-budget extravaganzas (Charlie’s Angels, There’s Something About Mary) with oddball independent films (Being John Malkovich, Feeling Minnesota). She’s currently dating pop singer Justin Timberlake.
With only one film in release, 2005 was a slower year than we’ve come to expect from Cameron. In Her Shoes, based on the novel by Jennifer Weiner, cast Cameron as a self-loathing party girl opposite Shirley MacLaine and Toni Collette and garnered the actress some of the best notices of her career. She was all over the small screen with appearances on talk shows like The Daily Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and even popped up on an episode of Inside The Actors Studio, where she revealed that her favorite word is “unity.” Sure.
Expect to see even less of Cameron in 2006, as the actress currently has only one film scheduled for release. Holiday, written and directed by Nancy Meyers (Something’s Gotta Give, What Women Want), revolves around an American (played by Diaz) who befriends a British woman (Kate Winslet) while on vacation in the United Kingdom. Cameron is also hard at work on the next installment of the Shrek series, along with Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy.

    RANK 99…

               Anna  Kournikova

    why we like her?

Why do we like her? More like why do we love her? This Russian tennis player is only a backhand away from making us drool when seeing her do virtually anything.

    why is she famous?

Aside from single-handedly making women’s tennis popular again, Anna Kournikova is one of the most searched people on the Internet, thanks to her amazing looks. She proves that you don’t need to be a star tennis player to be one of the most highly-endorsed athletes, nor do you need killer tennis skills to have a deadly Internet virus named after you.

    overall rating
    87
Anna Kournikova isn’t just a tennis player or a pretty blonde. Anna is an icon; a symbol of modern society’s values; a tool used to draw otherwise indifferent men (and women too, surprisingly enough) to women’s tennis — the "lite" version of the testosterone-driven men’s tennis tour.

    I REMEMBER YOU…

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I’d think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through

I paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I’d stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew you were there for me
Time after time you were there for me

Remember yesterday – walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand – I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I’d wanna hear you say – I remember you

We spend the summer with the top rolled down
Wished ever after would be like this
You said I love you babe, without a sound
I said I’d give my life for just one kiss
I’d live for your smile and die for your kiss

Remember yesterday – walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand – I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I’d wanna hear you say – I remember you

We’ve had our share of hard times
But that’s the price we paid
And through it all we kept the promise that we made
I swear you’ll never be lonely

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away
‘Cause you’ll always be my dream come true
Oh my darling, I love you

Remember yesterday – walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand – I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I’d wanna hear you say – I remember you

Remember yesterday – walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand – I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I’d wanna hear you say – I remember you
